BIOGRAPHY
After I was born in Oak Park, Illinois, my family of eight migrated to Stamford, Connecticut, where I spent most of my childhood years. My home away from home became Southern Connecticut State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Art Education. Upon graduation, my art career began in illustration and design in a Connecticut art studio. Always yearning for a more rural, quiet life, I soon found myself in New Hampshire where I freelanced with local art studios, then eventually began teaching Art at the local high school. After rewarding years in teaching and administration as Fine Art Department Chair, I left teaching to pursue a career as a full time artist in my own studio/gallery on Pipe Dream Farm in Swanzey, New Hampshire. My energy ever since has been devoted to my passion of painting.

The oldest of 6 siblings, we have an annual tradition to gather together.
We raised our family on Pipe Dream Farm and look forward to sharing summers together.
IF I PAINT MY DREAMS they will come true
This is what I believed as a child: Horses ran across my grade school papers against a backdrop of flowers, barns and tree-covered hills. When I traveled by train from my hometown in Stamford, Connecticut, to New York City to visit my father at work, I would look out the train window and imagine myself on a galloping horse. My horse and I, we flew by tenements and concrete buildings as they melted into the fields, woods and hillsides where I really wanted to be.

Now I live on Pipe Dream Farm in rural Swanzey, New Hampshire. Here is where all those dreams have come to pass. As I rode my horse, I’d see fields, farms, forests and flowers from a horse-high view I would not see on foot. My love of horses helps me see. All are rich inspiration for my art.

I work in watermedia to capture these dreams and share them with the world. My hope is that as I find my own satisfaction and joy in each painting, you will also find your own.
